The Doha Film Institute and the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra collaborate to present two unique sensory experiences:
- Firstly a MENA premiere of Patrick Doyle’s Concert with the live accompaniment by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, which will highlight great compositions from Doyle’s career and celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare, showcasing Doyle’s long-time collaboration on films based on the works of the Bard with filmmaker Kenneth Branagh (‘Much Ado About Nothing’, ‘Hamlet’, ‘Henry V’ and ‘As You Like It’).
- Secondly, Patrick Doyle will give a special Master Class on the art of film music to the Qatari filmmakers and local audiences alongside film makers from the Gulf. The whole event is supported by International Financial Services.

"To celebrate Shakespeare, in this 400th year anniversary of his death, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to perform music from a selection of Shakespeare film adaptations. I have had the good fortune to work on with my friend Sir Kenneth Branagh. I am delighted to present some world premieres from a selection of my films over the past 25 years. It is a tremendous honour to be invited by the British Embassy in Doha, the British Council and the Doha Film Institute.” - Patrick Doyle
