On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, and as part of the British Festival 2015, the British Council and the Qatari Businesswomen Association hosted the Springboard Networking Dinner.
The event celebrated the success of our network and special awards were presented to Springboard trainers and guest speakers who have inspired our trainees over the last year. A panel discussion was held on the topic of women’s empowerment. The dinner helped to raise awareness of the Springboard programme through the alumae guests and the widespread media coverage.
Springboard is a women’s development professional training programme that the British Council delivers across the globe. In the Gulf, we deliver workshops to companies, NGOs and ministries and hold networking events for springboard stakeholders, alumnae and potential partners.
